Description

A quick and easy cannoli dip with mascarpone, ricotta, and mini chocolate chips that delivers the flavors of a classic cannoli in a creamy dip form.

Ingredients

1 cup mascarpone cheese (room temperature)

1 cup ricotta cheese (drained)

1 cup powdered sugar (confectioners’ sugar)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup mini chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Drain the ricotta cheese through cheesecloth or a fine mesh strainer to remove excess water.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat together the mascarpone and ricotta cheeses using an electric mixer until smooth and well combined.
  3. Add in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Continue mixing until everything is fully incorporated.
  4. Gently stir in the mini chocolate chips by hand to maintain their texture.
  5. Chill the dip in the fridge for at least 10 minutes before serving. You can refrigerate it for up to 48 hours for convenience.
  6. Serve the cannoli dip with your choice of dippers such as pizzelle cookies, broken waffle cones, or fresh fruit.

Notes

  • If you can’t find pizzelle cookies, graham crackers, wafer cookies, or broken waffle cones make great alternatives.
  • For extra flavor, try adding a dash of cinnamon or citrus zest.
  • Ensure ricotta is well-drained to prevent the dip from becoming too watery.
