Description

This Breakfast Grilled Cheese with Beef combines savory beef, melted cheese, eggs, and perfectly toasted bread into a hearty and satisfying sandwich. It’s protein-packed, comforting, and quick to make—perfect for busy mornings.

Ingredients

Thick-cut bread slices (like sourdough or country loaf)

Sliced beef (leftover roast beef or thinly cut steak)

Eggs (scrambled or fried)

Cheese (Cheddar, American, or Swiss—whatever melts best)

Butter (for toasting the bread)

Optional: onions, spinach, tomato, or favorite sauce

Instructions

  1. Cook the beef slices or reheat leftover roast beef until warm.
  2. In a separate pan, scramble or fry eggs to your taste.
  3. Butter the outsides of the bread and heat the pan over medium.
  4. On the non-buttered side, layer cheese, warm beef, and eggs. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  5. Toast until golden brown, flip, and toast the other side until the cheese melts.

Notes

  • For an Italian-style twist, use mozzarella, tomato slices, basil, and a smear of pesto.
  • For a Southwest twist, add pepper jack cheese, diced jalapeños, and avocado.
  • For a veggie version, omit beef and add sautéed mushrooms, spinach, or roasted peppers.
