Description

Caramelized skillet peaches are a quick, buttery dessert that highlights the natural sweetness of peaches. Perfect for summer, this easy recipe transforms simple ingredients into a luscious, golden treat ready in just 15 minutes.

Ingredients

46 fresh peaches, sliced into wedges or halves

2 tablespoons butter (or coconut oil/plant-based butter for dairy-free)

23 tablespoons brown sugar (or honey or maple syrup)

1 tablespoon lemon juice (or a pinch of salt)

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Instructions

  1. Slice peaches into wedges or halves.
  2. Melt butter in a medium skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add peaches to the skillet and sprinkle with brown sugar (or drizzle with honey/maple syrup), lemon juice or salt, and cinnamon or vanilla if using.
  4. Cook for 5–7 minutes on each side, until peaches are tender and the liquid thickens into a caramel sauce.
  5. Flip the peaches carefully and cook the other side for another 5 minutes until glossy and fragrant.
  6. Serve warm over ice cream, yogurt, pancakes, French toast, or your preferred dish.

Notes

  • Swap sweeteners to vary the flavor—try honey or maple syrup.
  • Add a splash of bourbon or rum for a boozy twist.
  • Toss in chopped pecans for added crunch.
  • Experiment with spices like nutmeg, cardamom, or apple pie spice.
  • Use coconut oil or plant-based butter for a dairy-free version.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 5 days and reheat gently.
