Ingredients
Crescent Rolls
- 8 Big & Flaky Crescent Dinner Rolls (one 12 oz. tube)
Filling
- 8 oz. softened cream cheese
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups cooked shredded chicken
- Salt, to taste
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder (or more to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Topping
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 3 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon dry Italian seasoning mix
Instructions
- Preheat Oven and Prepare Baking Sheet: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure easy cleanup.
- Mix Filling Ingredients: In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar, shredded mozzarella, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are well blended. Add the cooked shredded chicken and mix again to evenly distribute the filling.
- Prepare Crescent Rolls: Unroll the crescent dough and separate into 8 individual rolls. Divide the chicken and cheese filling evenly among the rolls, placing filling on each dough triangle. Roll up each crescent roll tightly, making sure to seal the edges well to keep the filling inside.
- Arrange and Top Rolls: Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart to allow for expansion during baking. Brush each roll generously with melted butter, then sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese over the top. Finally, lightly sprinkle the dry Italian seasoning on each roll for added flavor.
- Bake: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until they turn a beautiful golden brown color and the cheese filling is bubbly.
- Cool and Serve: After baking, remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- You can substitute cooked shredded chicken with leftover rotisserie chicken or turkey.
- Adjust garlic powder and Italian seasoning according to your taste preferences.
- For crispier rolls, brush with butter twice: before baking and halfway through baking.
- These rolls can be made ahead and reheated in the oven for a few minutes before serving.
