Description

A delightful Cherry Vanilla Iced Latte featuring a homemade cherry vanilla syrup made from frozen cherries, sugar, and vanilla extract. This refreshing iced coffee beverage is easy to prepare and perfect for a cool, flavorful treat with the rich combination of cherry syrup, milk, and espresso.

Ingredients

Cherry Vanilla Syrup

  • 10 oz frozen dark, sweet cherries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

Latte

  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 3-4 tablespoons cherry vanilla syrup
  • 2 shots espresso
  • Ice (as needed)

Instructions

  1. Make Cherry Vanilla Syrup: Add the frozen cherries, sugar, water, and vanilla extract to a saucepan. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer over low heat. Allow it to simmer for 10-15 minutes until it thickens slightly, releasing the cherry flavors into the syrup.
  2. Strain Syrup: Remove the saucepan from heat and let the syrup cool. Once cooled, carefully strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer into a glass container or mason jar, discarding the solids. Cover and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
  3. Prepare the Latte: Fill a 12 oz glass halfway with ice. Pour in 3 to 4 tablespoons of the prepared cherry vanilla syrup according to taste.
  4. Add Milk: Pour 1 cup of your preferred milk into the glass over the ice and syrup.
  5. Top with Espresso: Brew 2 shots of espresso and carefully pour them on top of the milk and syrup mixture. Gently stir to combine all the flavors evenly.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Your Cherry Vanilla Iced Latte is ready to enjoy immediately as a refreshing and flavorful iced coffee beverage.
