Description

Delicious and easy Chicken Caesar Tacos featuring seasoned ground chicken cooked directly on tortillas for a crispy base, topped with fresh romaine lettuce, creamy Caesar dressing, grated Parmesan, and crispy bacon bits. Ready in under 20 minutes, these tacos are a perfect quick meal that combines classic Caesar salad flavors with a fun taco twist.

Ingredients

For the Chicken Tacos

  • 500 g ground chicken
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil (for cooking)

Toppings

  • 1/2 head romaine lettuce, chopped
  • 1/3 cup Caesar dressing
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 tbsp bacon bits

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken: In a bowl, combine the ground chicken with garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly to evenly distribute the seasoning.
  2. Prepare tortillas with chicken: Spread a thin, even layer of the seasoned ground chicken onto the back side of each flour tortilla, pressing down firmly so it adheres well.
  3. Cook the chicken on tortillas: Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add a small amount of avocado oil to prevent sticking. Place each tortilla with the chicken side down on the skillet. Cook for about 2-3 minutes until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked through. Flip the tortilla and cook the other side until crisp and slightly browned.
  4. Add the toppings: Remove the cooked chicken tortillas from the skillet. Top each with chopped romaine lettuce, a drizzle of Caesar dressing, a generous sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese, and crispy bacon bits. For extra flavor, you can toss the lettuce with the dressing beforehand.
  5. Serve: Fold the tacos carefully and serve immediately to enjoy the perfect contrast of crispy chicken base and fresh Caesar toppings.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or lean pork if preferred.
  • For a gluten-free option, use corn tortillas instead of flour tortillas.
  • Make sure the chicken layer on each tortilla is thin to ensure quick and even cooking.
  • Crisp bacon bits add a nice texture, but they can be omitted or replaced with toasted nuts for a different crunch.
  • Leftover cooked chicken tortillas can be reheated in a skillet to regain crispiness.
