Ingredients
Chicken and Seasonings
- 1 1/2 lbs cooked and chopped chicken (Rotisserie chicken works great too)
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Butter and Garlic
- 8 tbsp butter (divided)
- 9 cloves garlic (minced)
Sauces and Cheese
- 15 oz Alfredo sauce
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese (grated)
- 1 tbsp parsley (chopped)
- 2 cups Mozzarella cheese (shredded)
Bread
- 1 loaf French bread (sliced horizontally)
Instructions
- Prep the Bread: Preheat your oven to 400°F (205°C). Slice the French bread horizontally to create two halves. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, whisk together 5 tablespoons of melted butter with the garlic powder and chopped parsley. Brush this flavorful butter mixture generously over the cut sides of the bread. Place the bread in the oven and bake for 4–5 minutes until the crust is lightly golden and toasted.
- Heat Alfredo Sauce: While the bread is toasting, add the Alfredo sauce into a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the remaining 3 tablespoons of butter, grated Parmesan cheese, onion powder, smoked paprika, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper. Heat gently, stirring continuously until the sauce is smooth, creamy, and aromatic.
- Assemble: Remove the toasted bread from the oven. Spread half of the warm Alfredo sauce evenly over the toasted surface. Layer the cooked, chopped chicken evenly on top of the sauce, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella and the remaining Parmesan cheese across the chicken to cover.
- Bake: Return the assembled bread to the oven. Bake for 8–10 minutes or until the cheese is fully melted, bubbly, and golden brown. Once done, slice into portions and serve warm for a comforting, cheesy bite every time.
Notes
- Using rotisserie chicken saves time and adds extra flavor.
- You can substitute French bread with a similar baguette or Italian bread if preferred.
- Adjust the garlic quantity based on your preference for a stronger or milder garlic flavor.
- For a spicier kick, consider adding red pepper flakes to the Alfredo sauce.
- Leftover bread can be stored in the refrigerator and reheated in the oven to maintain crispiness.
