Description

These Best Pinwheels Fiesta Roll Ups are a crowd-pleasing appetizer or snack made with a creamy, flavorful mixture and wrapped in soft tortillas. They’re easy to make and perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

1 package of Cream cheese (softened)

1/2 cup Sour cream

1/2 cup Salsa or picante sauce

1 packet Taco seasoning or Hidden Valley Ranch Fiesta Seasoning Dip

1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese or a mix of Mexican cheese

46 Flour tortillas

Dipping sauces (optional)

Optional add-ins: Ground beef, Shredded chicken, Chopped green onions, Black beans, Green chilis, Black olives, Bell peppers, Refried beans, Chili powder, Garlic or garlic powder

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, salsa, and taco seasoning. Mix well until fully incorporated.
  2. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over each tortilla, leaving a small border around the edges.
  3. Starting from the edge with the most filling, roll the tortilla tightly like a jelly roll, ensuring to seal the edges with the cream cheese mixture.
  4. Wrap the rolled tortillas in plastic wrap or secure with toothpicks. Chill for at least 30 minutes, or preferably overnight.
  5. After chilling, slice the roll-ups into 1/2 to 1 inch thick pinwheels using a sharp knife.
  6. Arrange on a platter and serve immediately. Optionally, serve with additional salsa, sour cream, or your favorite dipping sauces.

Notes

  • Chill the roll-ups for at least 30 minutes to let the flavors meld together.
  • If making in advance, these can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  • If you prefer warm roll-ups, you can heat them in the oven for a few minutes to make them crispy.
  • These pinwheels are very customizable; try adding different ingredients like black beans, chili powder, or bell peppers.
  • For a spicier version, add jalapeños or hot sauce to the cream cheese mixture.
