Description

These Flake Biscuits are a delightful chocolatey treat topped with rich Flake chocolate for an irresistible combination. With a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth texture and a decadent chocolate coating, they’re perfect for anyone with a sweet tooth! A simple yet delicious dessert, ideal for parties, gifts, or enjoying with a hot cup of tea.

Ingredients

125 grams butter

½ cup icing sugar

½ teaspoon vanilla essence

2 tablespoons cocoa powder (sifted)

¼ cup cornflour

1 cup cake wheat flour

6 Flake chocolates

200 grams chocolate (e.g., Cadbury Dairy Milk) for dipping

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 160°C (320°F).

In a bowl, beat the butter and icing sugar together until light and fluffy.

Mix in the vanilla essence and sifted cocoa powder. Then, add the cornflour and cake wheat flour. Mix until the dough becomes firm yet pliable.

Divide the dough into three pieces. Roll each piece into a rectangular shape.

Cut the dough into small rectangular biscuits, approximately 1.5cm wide and 11cm long (size is flexible).

Place the biscuits on a baking sheet and refrigerate them for 15 minutes.

Bake for 10 minutes, or until you can smell them baking and they begin to firm up.

Allow the biscuits to cool completely on a cooling rack.

Melt the chocolate in the microwave at 30-second intervals. Stir until smooth, then dip each biscuit into the chocolate.

Cut the Flake chocolates in half lengthwise and divide into three pieces. Sprinkle the crumbs on top of each biscuit or place the whole pieces on top for an extra chocolatey finish.

Store in an airtight container for up to a week.

Notes

For a different flavor, use unsalted butter if you prefer.

Feel free to double the recipe to make a larger batch!

You can use mini Flake chocolates if you prefer smaller pieces.

I used Cadbury Dairy Milk for dipping, but feel free to choose your favorite chocolate for a personal touch.
