Description

These Honey Garlic Turkey Meatballs are a healthier, flavorful twist on classic meatballs. Perfectly seasoned with savory herbs and spices, then coated in a tangy-sweet honey garlic sauce, these turkey meatballs are ideal for any meal. Whether served over rice, pasta, or on their own, they promise a satisfying, guilt-free treat

Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (preferably whole wheat)

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/4 cup finely chopped onion

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 large egg

1 tablespoon soy sauce

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon dried thyme

1/4 cup honey

1/4 cup ketchup

1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar

1 tablespoon olive oil (for cooking)

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the meatball mixture: In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, chopped onion, and minced garlic.
  2. Add wet ingredients: Crack the egg into the bowl. Add soy sauce, salt, black pepper, oregano, and thyme. Mix gently until combined.
  3. Shape the meatballs: Form mixture into 1 to 1.5-inch meatballs, about 20 meatballs in total.
  4. Cook the meatballs: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add meatballs in batches, cooking for 8-10 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
  5. Prepare the honey garlic sauce: While meatballs cook, mix honey, ketchup, and apple cider vinegar in a small bowl. Stir to combine.
  6. Coat the meatballs: Reduce heat to low. Pour the honey garlic sauce over meatballs in the skillet and gently toss to coat.
  7. Serve: Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately
