Description
A delightful Honey Latte recipe combining the robust flavor of strong espresso coffee with creamy barista oat milk and a touch of natural honey sweetness. Enhanced with vanilla and cinnamon, this quick and easy latte is perfect for a cozy morning or an afternoon treat.
Ingredients
For the Honey Latte
- 75 ml Strong coffee (brewed from 18g ground espresso)
- 150 ml Barista edition oat milk (Oatly recommended)
- 1 tablespoon runny Honey
- ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
- ⅛ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- Pinch of Salt
Instructions
- Heat the Cup: Fill your serving cup with freshly boiled water to warm it through, helping to keep your latte hot longer.
- Prepare the Milk Mixture: Measure the oat milk into a jug and add the vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and a small pinch of salt. Stir to combine these flavors evenly.
- Brew the Coffee: Discard the hot water from the cup and brew your strong coffee directly into the warmed cup, ensuring full flavor extraction.
- Add Honey to Coffee: Stir the tablespoon of honey into the freshly brewed coffee until fully dissolved, adding natural sweetness.
- Steam the Milk: Steam the oat milk mixture until it becomes foamy and creamy. If you don’t have a steamer, gently heat the milk and use a frother or whisk vigorously to create foam.
- Combine Latte: Slowly pour the foamy oat milk into the coffee and honey mixture, allowing it to blend smoothly.
- Serve: Stir gently to integrate all flavors. Optionally, sprinkle a light dusting of ground cinnamon on top as a finishing touch. Serve immediately for best taste.
Notes
- Using barista edition oat milk helps achieve a creamy and frothy texture similar to dairy milk.
- If you prefer a stronger coffee flavor, adjust the coffee quantity or espresso grind accordingly.
- Honey adds natural sweetness and depth; feel free to adjust to your taste preference.
- For a vegan option, ensure your honey substitute is plant-based like maple syrup or agave nectar.
- To froth non-barista oat milk, heat gently and use a handheld frother or vigorous whisking to create foam.
