Description
The Malibu Sunset Cocktail is a vibrant tropical drink featuring coconut rum, pineapple-orange juice, and a splash of grenadine for a gorgeous layered effect—perfect for summer parties or relaxing by the pool.
Ingredients
Ice cubes
3 oz pineapple-orange juice blend (or 1.5 oz each pineapple and orange juice)
2 oz Malibu coconut rum
1/2 oz grenadine
Maraschino cherry, for garnish
Pineapple or orange slice, for garnish
Instructions
- Fill a tall glass with ice cubes.
- Pour in the pineapple-orange juice and coconut rum. Stir gently to combine.
- Slowly drizzle grenadine down the inside of the glass. Do not stir—it will settle at the bottom to create a sunset effect.
- Garnish with a maraschino cherry and a slice of pineapple or orange.
- Serve immediately and enjoy.
Notes
- For a mocktail version, omit the rum and use extra juice or coconut water.
- To make a batch for a group, pre-mix the juice and rum, chill, then pour over ice and add grenadine when serving.
