Description

Marry Me Chicken is a deliciously creamy chicken dish made with sun-dried tomatoes, garlic, and Parmesan. This easy recipe will wow your taste buds with tender, seared chicken breasts in a rich, flavorful sauce, perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tbsp olive oil

3 cloves garlic (minced)

½ cup sun-dried tomatoes (chopped)

1 cup heavy cream

½ cup chicken broth

½ cup parmesan cheese (grated)

1 tsp Italian seasoning

½ tsp red pepper flakes

Salt & black pepper (to taste)

Fresh basil (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. Sear the Chicken:
  2. Sprinkle salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning on both sides of the chicken breasts.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Sear the chicken for 5 minutes per side or until golden brown. Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.
  5. Make the Creamy Sauce:
  6. In the same pan, sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
  7. Stir in chopped sun-dried tomatoes, allowing them to soften.
  8. Pour in chicken broth, deglazing the pan.
  9. Lower heat to medium and add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese. Stir until the sauce thickens.
  10. Add red pepper flakes for a slight kick.
  11. Simmer and Serve:
  12. Return the chicken to the pan and drizzle the creamy sauce over it.
  13. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
  14. Garnish with fresh basil before serving

Notes

  • For extra flavor, consider adding spinach, mushrooms, or artichoke hearts to the sauce.
  • If you prefer a gluten-free version, ensure your chicken broth is gluten-free and serve with gluten-free pasta.
  • For a spicier kick, increase red pepper flakes or add cayenne pepper
