Description

Sheet pan pizza is a quick, easy, and customizable meal with a soft, chewy dough and a crispy, golden crust. It’s perfect for feeding a crowd, and cleanup is a breeze since it’s made all on one pan.

Ingredients

2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour (plus more for kneading)

1 tablespoon sugar

1 tablespoon instant yeast

1 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 cup warm water (around 110-115°F)

11.2 pounds pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)

1 tablespoon olive oil

⅔ cup pizza sauce

2 cups mozzarella cheese

4 oz pepperoni

Parmesan cheese for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
  2. Pour in the olive oil and warm water. Mix everything together until a shaggy ball forms.
  3. Stand Mixer: Use a dough hook to mix until smooth and a ball forms (about 3 minutes). Cover with a towel and let rise for 15 minutes.
  4. Mix by Hand: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5 minutes, adding more flour if needed. Cover with a towel or bowl and let rise for 15 minutes.
  5. Preheat the oven to 450°F.
  6. Coat a quarter sheet pan (13” x 9”) with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, making sure to cover all the edges and corners.
  7. Place the dough onto the pan and gently stretch it out. If the dough keeps shrinking back, let it rest for 5 minutes, then try stretching it again.
  8. Spread the pizza sauce evenly over the dough, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and top with pepperoni slices.
  9. Bake for 11-13 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the crust is golden brown.
  10. Let the pizza cool for 5 minutes, then top with Parmesan cheese (if using), slice, and enjoy!

Notes

  • For variations, add vegetables, more meats like sausage, or experiment with different cheeses.
  • If you need a gluten-free option, substitute the flour with a gluten-free flour blend.
  • Leftover pizza can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
  • Reheat slices in a preheated oven at 375°F for 5-7 minutes for best results.
