This quick and easy Shrimp Boil recipe is packed with Cajun flavors, featuring juicy shrimp, tender potatoes, sweet corn, and smoky sausage tossed in Old Bay seasoning and a rich Cajun butter sauce. Ready in just 20 minutes, it’s the perfect summer feast!
Ingredients
Water, for boiling
4 tablespoons Old Bay Seasoning
8 oz (230g) baby potatoes, halved
2 ears corn on the cob, cut into 2-inch (5cm) pieces
12 oz (350g) smoked sausage, sliced (Hillshire Smoke Sausage Rope)
1 lb (500g) shrimp, shelled, deveined, tail-in
1 tablespoon chopped parsley, for garnish
Cajun Butter:
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1 ½ tablespoons Cajun seasoning (McCormick)
Instructions
Fill a large stockpot halfway with water and bring to a rolling boil over high heat.
Add Old Bay seasoning, potatoes, and corn. Cover and cook 8–10 minutes, until potatoes are tender.
In a small bowl, mix melted butter with Cajun seasoning to make Cajun butter. Set aside.
Add shrimp and smoked sausage to the pot. Boil for 1 minute, until shrimp turns pink.
Drain ingredients in a colander (in batches if necessary).
Heat a skillet over high heat, add Cajun butter sauce, and toss all boiled ingredients to coat.
Transfer to a sheet pan or platter, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.
Notes
Best served immediately for maximum flavor.
Can substitute crab, lobster tails, or clams for variety.
Adjust Cajun seasoning to your spice preference.
