Description
A refreshing and fizzy twist on the classic Dirty Sprite, this strawberry version features muddled berries, lemon-lime soda, and a splash of citrus—perfect for parties, warm days, or fun get-togethers.
Ingredients
1 ½ cups fresh strawberries, chopped (or thawed frozen strawberries)
2–3 tablespoons white sugar (adjust to taste)
1 can (12 oz) lemon-lime soda (e.g., Sprite or 7UP)
½ cup cold water
Juice of half a lime (or lemon)
Ice cubes (as desired)
Optional: a splash of grape soda
Optional: fresh mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Toss chopped strawberries into a jug or large glass, sprinkle sugar over them, and muddle until juicy and chunky.
- Pour in cold water and lime juice. Stir and adjust sweetness if needed.
- Slowly add lemon-lime soda to avoid fizz overflow. Stir gently to combine. Add grape soda for the “dirty” twist if using.
- Fill glasses with ice, spoon in strawberry mixture, and pour the soda mix over the top.
- Garnish with mint or a lemon slice. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Adjust sugar based on the sweetness of the berries.
- Use lemon instead of lime for a different citrus twist.
- Diet soda works well for a lower sugar version.
- Raspberries or blueberries can be used as substitutes.
- Prepare the strawberry base in advance and refrigerate for up to 2 days.
