Description

A refreshing and naturally sweetened Watermelon Lemonade, perfect for hot days. Combines juicy watermelon and tart lemon into a bright, hydrating drink.

Ingredients

4 cups seedless watermelon, cubed

1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 46 lemons)

½ cup sugar or honey (adjust to taste)

24 cups cold water (to dilute)

Ice

Optional: lemon slices or mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Blend the watermelon until completely smooth.
  2. Optional: strain through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher for a smoother texture.
  3. Stir in lemon juice.
  4. Add sugar or honey and mix until dissolved. Warm honey slightly if needed for easier mixing.
  5. Pour in cold water, adjust to taste for sweetness and dilution.
  6. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Serve over ice with optional lemon slices or mint for garnish.

Notes

  • Use sparkling water in place of some still water for a fizzy variation.
  • Add strawberries or raspberries in the blender for a berry twist.
  • Blend in fresh mint or basil for an herbal note.
  • Stir in vodka or white rum to turn it into a cocktail.
  • Store in the fridge up to 3 days; stir before serving.
