Ingredients
Filling
- 3 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Dough & Fruit
- 1 (8 oz) tube of crescent roll dough
- 2/3 cup fresh blueberries
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and ensure even baking.
- Make Filling: In a mixing bowl, blend the softened cream cheese, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar together until the mixture is smooth and creamy without any lumps.
- Prepare Dough: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
- Assemble Rolls: Evenly spread the cream cheese filling over each dough triangle, then sprinkle fresh blueberries on top of the filling.
- Roll Dough: Starting from the wider end, carefully roll up each dough triangle, encasing the filling and blueberries inside, then place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet with the seam side down.
- Bake: Bake the rolls in the preheated oven for 10 to 13 minutes, or until they turn golden brown and puff up slightly.
- Cool & Serve: Allow the rolls to cool slightly on the baking sheet before serving to enjoy the creamy, tangy, and flaky combination at its best.
Notes
- Make sure the cream cheese is softened to avoid lumps in the filling.
- You can substitute blueberries with other fresh berries like raspberries or strawberries.
- If you prefer sweeter rolls, consider dusting them with powdered sugar after baking.
- Serve warm for the best texture and flavor.
