Description

This refreshing Mocktail Spritzer is a delightful non-alcoholic beverage perfect for warm days or social gatherings. Featuring fresh strawberries, zesty lime juice, fragrant basil leaves, and a touch of honey, this sparkling drink uses unsweetened carbonated water to create a light and flavorful spritzer that everyone can enjoy.

Ingredients

Fresh Ingredients

  • 1 cup sliced fresh strawberries
  • Juice of half a lime
  • 1/2 cup sliced fresh strawberries (for garnish)
  • 1 handful fresh basil leaves

Liquids & Sweeteners

  • 3-4 tablespoons honey (or more to taste)
  • 4 cups Perrier water or other unsweetened carbonated water

Others

  • Ice cubes (as needed for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Strawberry Puree: In a blender or magic bullet, puree one cup of sliced fresh strawberries together with the juice of half a lime and 3-4 tablespoons of honey until smooth.
  2. Combine with Carbonated Water: Pour the strawberry puree into a large pitcher and add 4 cups of Perrier water or another unsweetened carbonated water. Mix thoroughly to blend all the flavors well.
  3. Add Garnishes and Chill: Stir in the remaining half cup of sliced fresh strawberries and a handful of fresh basil leaves. Cover the pitcher and place it in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes to let the flavors meld.
  4. Serve with Ice: When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice cubes according to your preference.
  5. Final Stir and Garnish: Give the spritzer mixture one more good stir, taste, and add more honey if you desire a sweeter flavor. Pour into glasses and garnish with extra strawberries and basil if desired. Serve cold and enjoy!

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of honey to suit your preferred level of sweetness.
  • You can substitute lime juice with lemon juice for a slightly different citrus flavor.
  • For a more intense basil aroma, gently bruise the basil leaves before adding them.
  • This mocktail is best served chilled and immediately after preparation for maximum freshness.
  • Carbonated water choice can be varied, but no sweetened soda is recommended to control sugar content.
