Ingredients

Fruits and Vegetables

  • 1 large peach, pitted and cut into wedges
  • ¼ small watermelon, cut into wedges
  • 1 cup strawberries
  • 1 cup cherries
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes
  • 1 small cucumber, sliced
  • 2 small zucchini, shaved into ribbons with a vegetable peeler

Cheeses

  • 2 types fresh soft cheese (such as Vermont Creamery herbed & everything logs)
  • 2 types aged cheese (such as Vermont Creamery Bijou and Cremont)

Accompaniments

  • 8 ounces assorted crackers (such as gluten-free almond crackers & gluten-free flatbread crackers)
  • ½ baguette, sliced on the diagonal (such as Arise Bakery gluten-free baguette)
  • ½ cup salted roasted nuts (such as marcona almonds, pistachios, etc.)
  • ½ cup olives (such as herb marinated castelvetranos)
  • ¼ cup honey
  • ½ cup basil butter or salted butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Serving Board: Arrange a large serving board or platter ready to display all components.
  2. Place Largest Components: Position the largest items first, including the two types of aged and fresh cheeses, and place small bowls if needed for items like olives or nuts around the board.
  3. Arrange Fruits and Vegetables: Fan out the sliced fruits and vegetables such as peach wedges, watermelon wedges, strawberries, cherries, cherry tomatoes, cucumber slices, and zucchini ribbons around the board, aiming for a rainbow effect from red to green to neutral tones for visual appeal and easy access.
  4. Add Crackers and Bread: Position assorted gluten-free crackers and baguette slices strategically to fill spaces and provide easy grabbing points across the board.
  5. Fill in with Smaller Items: Scatter the salted roasted nuts and smaller fruits in the remaining gaps on the board to create fullness and balance.
  6. Final Touches: Add knives and spoons for spreading the cheese and honey, and serve with small plates and napkins.
  7. Serve and Enjoy: Pour your favorite drink and enjoy the fresh, colorful, and flavorful summer cheese board with your guests.
