Description

A delicious and refreshing frozen treat, Yogurt Bark combines creamy Greek yogurt with a hint of sweetness and vibrant toppings like berries or chocolate chips. Perfect for a healthy snack or dessert, this easy no-bake recipe freezes into a crunchy, flavorful bark that can be customized with your favorite ingredients.

Ingredients

Yogurt Mixture

  • 2 cups full-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Toppings

  • 1 cup toppings of choice (berries, chocolate chips, candies, etc.)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pan: Line a rimmed quarter-sheet pan with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat and set aside. This will prevent the yogurt from sticking and make it easy to remove once frozen.
  2. Mix the yogurt base: In a medium mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of full-fat plain Greek yogurt with 2 tablespoons of pure maple syrup and 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Stir well until fully blended to create a smooth, sweetened yogurt mixture.
  3. Spread the yogurt: Using an offset spatula, spread the yogurt mixture evenly in a thin layer approximately ¼-inch thick over the lined baking sheet. Make sure it is evenly distributed to allow uniform freezing.
  4. Add toppings: Sprinkle your choice of toppings evenly over the yogurt layer. Popular options include fresh berries, chocolate chips, and candies. These add texture and flavor contrast to the creamy yogurt.
  5. Freeze: Place the prepared pan in the freezer and let it freeze for at least 3 hours or preferably overnight, until the yogurt bark is completely frozen solid.
  6. Serve or store: Once frozen, remove the pan from the freezer. Invert the bark onto a cutting board and carefully peel off the parchment paper. Break or cut the bark into 12 pieces. Serve immediately for a refreshing treat or store in a freezer-safe container for up to 1 month.

Notes

  • Use full-fat Greek yogurt for a creamier texture and richer flavor.
  • Adjust sweetness by substituting maple syrup with honey or another sweetener of choice.
  • Customize toppings based on preference; nuts, seeds, or dried fruit also work well.
  • Ensure the yogurt is spread evenly to freeze uniformly and facilitate easier breaking.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container to maintain freshness and prevent freezer burn.
